Snow Clearing and Ice Management

We're out before the storms hit, not after. At Total Facility Solutions, we monitor weather satellites 24-hours a day, 7-days a week from November until May. Our routes are planned for 6 hours, not the industry standard 8-10 hours. So, unless we have an early morning snow, your lot will be cleared of snow on time or even earlier. And, we send regular updates on our progress via e-mail broadcasts. TFS clients have the TOTAL advantage of knowing how we are doing and what they can expect.

We stay in touch via two-way radio - in real time, all the time. So you get immediate answers to your questions - all the time. Our clients enjoy TOTAL peace of mind knowing that their storm recovery plans are in capable hands. TFS staff often identify and prevent potential problems by dispatching appropriate equipment before our client is even aware of the concern.

Did you know? In the big storm of 2006, TFS finished its routes on time.

We use only heavy equipment - 4 x 4 tractors with 12 to 14 foot blades. Whether there is 2 inches of snow or 12 inches of ice, we are able to handle it. We add equipment as required and have sufficient artillery to handle any snow clearing need. More importantly, we have the equipment to remove or relocate snow as required during heavy accumulation. We have fully trained back-up operators for all equipment to minimize fatigue during long storms. And we take the time to mark our sites with stakes in order to minimize damage and maximize productivity while onsite so your property is cleared quickly and effectively.

All TFS vehicles carry GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. As a plow makes its route, we can track its progress and provide extremely accurate estimated times of arrival for the next clients on the route. And, if a client's ETA is unsuitable, we can easily re-route a vehicle to that location because we know exactly where all our vehicles are at all times. Additionally a computer report is generated each time a piece of equipment is used on a client site. It lists the equipment, date, time of day and length of time one of our vehicles is onsite and can be a very effective tool in minimizing insurance liability against frivolous claims.

Our staff are bonded, insured and fully trained on their responsibilities using state of the art technologies. Our training programs include standardized testing which all staff must pass before they are allowed on a client's property. Courses are conducted during October and November of each year, so TFS staff are some of the most knowledgeable, up-to-date and well prepared professionals in the snow removal industry. As members of SIMA ( the Snow and Ice Management Association) we are proud to offer quality service backed by the latest in technologies and commitment.
